surpass their clients needs, we focused our effort in developing a software platform that uses a client oriented business model, offering service and support not only to clients, but to providers, distributors and commercial partners.

Using agile methodologies to develop web applications, we developed what we call the Nexus – Framework. This is the foundation to a PORTAL where both the organizational users as well as commercial partners should access in order to interact with each other as well as the system.

The Nexus – Framework is a platform which consists of a business process automation module, an organization’s administration module and a set of different functionalities, all of these developed in ASP.NET which offers the possibility for the users to access the tool from any computer with internet access or from the corporative intranet where our solution is installed.

The business process automation module is a workflow automation engine of any kind of business processes that require the interaction and information flow though a series of activities in which people belonging to different departments participate or play different roles inside the organization.

The organization’s administration module consists of different sections where the organizational structure setup is made (roles and departments) and the people that conform the organization, clearly identifying the role and/or department to which each person belongs, in a way that, when they access the portal they acquire the privileges that were assigned to that role, person, department and to the

	organization to which they belong. The set of functionalities that conforms the framework are: Agenda, WebMail, Briefcase and Library. The Nexus – Framework will serve as foundation to mount the rest of the modules, it will be the backbone in which the operational and administrative part of the system will be integrated.
